Homemade Cinnamon Roll Bread Recipe
Happy Monday everyone! This past weekend was rainy and nasty down here in my neck of the woods so I was housebound for most of the day. Which is actually ok because I needed to catch up on work and some things around the house anyways. And being stuck in the house meant I had time to do some baking. I wanted to share one of my favorite sweet bread recipes that I made over the weekend. I present to you, Homemade Cinnamon Roll Bread!
Let’s check out how to make my Homemade Cinnamon Roll Bread:
You Will Need:
- 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/3 Cup Sour Cream
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 3 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Water
For the Glaze:
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
First, in a mixer combine your flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt and sift to blend. Then add you egg, milk, and sour cream. Mix to combine. Preheat your oven to 350.
Then, Pour your mix into a greased loaf pan. In a small bowl combine your ingredients for your cinnamon swirl and mix to combine. Pour the mix over your bread and use a knife to make a swirl pattern. (It looks pretty right!?)
Next, Bake your bread at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted and come out clean. Place on a cooling rack and let cool cool completely.
After your bread has completely cooled, mix your glaze and pour on top. (Are you hungry yet?) Slice, and serve!
How easy was that right!? It took me about an hour (and that is including baking time) to make this sweet treat and everyone in the house couldn’t get enough. No really, I had to make 3 more loafs!
That looks mouth watering!
Oh my! This is on my list for this weekend to make! Ok if I share it on my baseball blog?
Oh Em Gee! This looks a beautiful as I bet it tastes. Must pin this for later!
Love the idea of turning this into a bread instead of the normal cinnamon rolls! Thank you so much for linking up at Tasty Tuesday! Your recipe has been pinned to the Tasty Tuesday Pinterest board! Please join us again this week!
This looks like an easy and delicious treat!
