You really do have to plan a garden. In different climate zones you need to tart the seed at certain times. We, when we do plant, start the seedlings indoors well in advance.

That’s very handy Gardening really takes a lot of work and planing.. It’s so worth it though when you slice into a home grown red, ripe tomato.A few years ago, I used Jerry Baker’s home made plant foods and grew a 6ft. tomato plant. I really recommend his books. He has great gardening tips and easy to make plant foods…

When we first bought our house, I was excited and spent just about every waking hour in the yard planting flowers and preparing the soil for a vegetable garden. There is a lot to do and this check list is a good idea.

Its so fun to keep track of your garden especially with the kids. Seeing a seed grow into a plant is a great way to give back.

Gardening is also a good activity to involve the kids. They can help out and watch the plants grow. Hopefully, they’ll eat some vegetables too.

The first year of gardening is the hardest. Prepping the soil and deciding what to grow. After that it’s easier.
