Disclosure: This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Disney and the Walt Disney Animation Studios. I received an all-expense paid trip so that I could gather and share this information. However, all experiences and opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
I was so excited I screamed late one Friday evening! I got an email that said I was headed to Los Angeles to participate in a press junket for the movie McFarland USA. I’ve got a few questions picked out I can’t wait to ask Kevin. If I can actually get my voice to work when it’s my turn! LOL Do you have a question I could ask that might make me sound smart? Please leave it for me in a comment and I’ll be sure to ask it. I’ll also get to speak to the people who inspired the movie and other actors and producers. It’ll be epic! McFarland is out in theaters 2/20 so reserve the date. Check out the McFarland trailer below and see why I’m so excited to check out this family movie. My favorite Kevin movies are: Field of Dreams and The Bodyguard. I do have one least favorite, Tin Cup. I have a feeling this one and his other new one will be on my favorite Kevin movie list! But oh the fun I will have seeing this movie and speaking with him!
The fun doesn’t end there. I will also attend a special press day at DisneyToon Studios for the In-Home release of TINKER BELL AND THE LEGEND OF THE NEVERBEAST where I get to interview the filmmakers and Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of “Fawn”)! What? Pinch me! My favorite movie of hers was Something Borrowed. It’ll be so fun to hug her neck and ask her a question or two. Got a question for her? Leave me a comment so I can ask her!
But wait, I’m not done with this fun filled trip. I’ll also get to attend a special press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios for the In-Home release of BIG HERO 6 where I will interview the filmmakers, Ryan Potter (voice of “Hiro”), Daniel Henney (voice of “Tadashi”) and Scott Adsit (voice of “Baymax”)! I took my kids to see this movie and we all fell in love with it. I love that they are using someone other than a caucasian as a lead in a children’s movie. My daughter is from Korea so it was great for her to see Tadashi and Hiro as the good guys in such a sweet film. We loved that about this movie. Thank you for making heroes in other nationalities. That rocks ABC.
So I’m a huge sit com fan. I watch as many of the new ones that come out as I can so I can watch them from the beginning. I have a feeling I will enjoy this next opportunity that Disney has granted me! I’ll hang out at the Fresh off the boat set and will also preview two soon-to-air episodes of ABC’s new family comedy, “Fresh Off the Boat,”(sampled twice in ABC’s Wednesday night comedy block on Wednesday, February 4th at both 8:30 and 9:31 p.m., followed by its time slot premiere on Tuesday, February 10th at 8:00 p.m., ET) and meet with the show’s Writer and Executive Producer Nahnatchka Kahn as well as available cast from the show! I think my family is going to enjoy this show immensely!
But wait there’s more! And finally, I will screen the upcoming Disney Channel Film BAD HAIR DAY (premiering Friday, February 13th at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) followed by a Q+A with star and Executive Producer Leigh-Allyn Baker! Oh my goodness, do you have any idea how upset my daughter is that I get to meet and interview Leigh-Allyn Baker (Good Luck Charlie fame and such a cute show!)? She’s not a happy girl. She wants to go with me. It would be fun but alas I go alone.
So follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for my running updates as I go on this epic adventure to LA. I have been West of the Mississippi three times in my life. And only to go to Arkansas and Missouri so this is pretty exciting for little old me. I’m just a Tennessee girl who is excited to go see the lights and adventure LA has to offer me. It’s bound to be an amazing adventure of epic proportions.
