Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Mix Party Mix Recipe
My kids love chex mix. My children were really excited that I was to make this recipe. They could eat chex mix all year round. This one was special because my son who doesn’t really help with the blog wanted to make this. So he set about getting the ingredients together and making it with minimal help from me. Check out my recipe in pictures.
Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Mix Recipe Ingredients
2 cups Vanilla Chex cereal
2 cups Chocolate Chex cereal
2 cups Cinnamon Chex cereal
1/4 c butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon (I left this out)
1 cup flaked coconut
1 and 1/2 c mini marshmallows
And we set about to making our delicious snack of Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Mix.
Add cereal to bowl. Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwavable container. Once melted add sweetened condensed milk and stir. You can add cinnamon here and stir it together. Pour over cereal and mix together. Microwave again on high for 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until thoroughly coated.
Stir in coconut and marshmallows and then pour onto wax paper and let cool. Eat your yummy creation! This recipe is very adaptable. Leave out the coconut if you’re not a fan. I left out the cinnamon. Add in other flavors if you are a fan.

This was a quick and easy recipe. My family definitely enjoyed this new twist on an old favorite. This was a first recipe for desserts that my son made and it was so simple for him to do. Especially since this recipe was no bake! What other add ins would you add to make it a great snack for your family?
