Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

We’ve been doing a pantry challenge this week. That means we eat what’s in the kitchen and do not go to the store. So of course we are running low on snacks. Last night my kids made these amazing whole wheat chocolate chip cookies. I was surprised at how yummy they were. You can’t even tell you’re eating whole wheat cookies. Try my recipe and see if you don’t agree!

Ingredients
  1. insulated cookie sheet
Dry Ingredients
  1. 3 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  3. 1 tsp baking soda
  4. 1 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  1. 2 sticks cold unsalted butter
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 8 oz chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl, Add the butter and the sugars to the bowl and mix just until blended. Scrape the sides of the bowl. Add the eggs one at a time and mix until combined. Add vanilla. Add flour mixture to the bowl and blend on low until the flour is barely combined. Scrape sides and bottom. Add chocolate chips. Mix on low until evenly combined. Drop by tablespoons on insulated baking sheet (or use parchment paper to keep from sticking). Bake cookies for 16-20 minutes at 350*. Rotate the cookie sheet halfway through. Transfer cookies onto a plate to cool and continue baking the rest of the cookies. This makes a bunch so you'll enjoy them for a few days. Store in an airtight container or bag for 3 days.

I’ve never eaten a cookie as good as this one was. I’m not sure if it’s the step by step directions or what. But these cookies are worth waiting for. Let me know if you make them. Leave me a comment because I’d love to know what you thought! Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
