Outnumber Hunger has helped Feeding America feed over 25 million meals in less than three years. The only way to make sure we outnumber hunger is to find great companies to help us in feeding the hungry.
Country music stars got together to help Outnumber Hunger by holding a concert. Eli Young Band, The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert and even Florida Georgia Line were all there to participate with General Mills and helping to Outnumber Hunger. You can see the concert on youtube. Watch the hourlong show in the youtube video below.
One in every six Americans is currently battling hunger. It’s a sad reality for over 13 million families who are hungry year round. I’m very thankful that in our area our schools stay open in the summer to feed the children breakfast and lunch for those who need it. At least they can be fed 2 meals per day during summer too.
I’m thankful that Outnumber Hunger, Feeding America and Big Machine Label Group are there working to help families not go hungry! Make sure you pick up the cd that goes with the video that just played.
OutNumber Hunger Volume 1 [Audio CD]
It’s great that so many artists are giving their time for such an important cause as this!
It’s sad that there are so many people in our communities that do not have enough food to eat. 1 in 6 Americans is just too many!
This is so sad. There are way too many people hungry in the US.
So glad to see artists taking an interest in hunger here at home. This is a great promotion!
Really sad that so many are going hungry. But its great that artists are helping out.
I’m so proud that large celebrity names are taking on such a good cause! This one hits close to Home with me – my grandmother often went hungry as a child.
I never knew how bad it was (hunger) until I had a school teacher friend of mine tell me that she has kids at the school that only eat breakfast and lunch because they get the food for free … No dinner at home due to lack of funds…
I adore all those groups- I’ll have to watch this! Such a great cause.
It’s a shame to know that so many people are hungry, right here in our own country. Yet so much aid is given to other countries…
I’ll definitely check out this CD. I think it’s so important to support our local food bank and I do volunteer there when given the chance (and I donate food to them.)
I am a President of a large food pantry. We serve 800/month and I have over 100 volunteers. Food insecurity breaks my heart and it is so important. 1 in 5 children do not know where their next meal is coming from and it gets worse in the summer months when they do not have access to NSLP and NSBP.
What a great campaign. It is nice to see celebrities getting behind causes that work.
I think that is one thing that people shouldnt have to suffer over is food. That subject always breaks my heart a bit. I am so happy that organizations such as OutNumber Hunger is doing something about this epidemic and has fed over 25 million people in over 3 years. Thats amazing thanks for sharing!
Great cause and awesome way to give back.
this is such a catch 22. it saddens me we have this issue in our country but it is humbling to see celebrities giving their time
Sad how many children go to bed hungry! Great cause!
It is so nice hearing that so many celebs get involved in helping those who are having problems in getting meals.
So sad! Can’t believe there’s still so many who go hungry and still so many who don’t care!
I love campaigns like this. More people need to be aware!
Thank you for sharing information about this cause. It is important for people to know what is going on!
No child should be hungry. I hope more companies and groups do things like this so we can end child hunger.
What a great campaign for an important cause. Someday hopefully it won’t be needed.
25 million meals in 3 years is awesome! WTG Outnumber Hunger!
I will definitely check out the cd. I think it is awesome that your school does that!!
One in every six Americans is currently battling hunger??? I had no idea. I hope some day this number is lowered significantly
I love that FGL is joining forces to fight hungry. It’s nice when famous people use their popularity for good.
We routinely volunteer at a food pantry, and the need is so great. People you wouldn’t imagine having trouble are really struggling.
I love that you are helping to spread awareness! 1 in 6 Americans is a huge number!
I think it’s awesome that your school stays open to feed the kids. We live in a very poor area, and I think in the summer – if it weren’t for the Vacation Bible School programs, some of the kids would be hungry at night. That makes me sad. I love it that there are programs in place like this Outnumber Hunger!
I sure hope to see that 1 in 6 number start dropping soon. It’s been that way for far too long! Love what General Mills is doing here.
I am glad to hear about the concert to raise money but it is sad that so many people struggle with hunger.
One in six is far too large a number 🙁 General Mills has been active in fighting hunger for quite some time and their work is admirable.
It’s soo sad that so many in our country go hungry – but I’ve been there up close and personally, and when it comes to paying rent or heat vs buying groceries – a lot of people don’t have a choice. I love that Outnumber Hunger and many other groups are raising money (and awareness) for such an important cause!
As someone who has struggled with not having the money to eat some days I think this is a great program!
I am especially sad for the kids. It is hard to imagine that in such a prosperous nation such as ours, people are going hungry
That’s awesome that they’ve made such a big difference in such a short time!
Feeding America has always been a charity that I back because they’re helping people in our backyards. The fact that some of my favorite country acts are also helping has me super excited!
What a great campaign! We need to be more aware of the struggles in our own neighborhoods!
I love when famous or well-known people use their influence and finances to help those in need. This is a wonderful campaign.
It’s heartbreaking to see how many people are hungry in the US. I’m glad this campaign exists and there are people who care enough to try to change this.
I just saw this cd today at Target. It’s a great cause!
