That’s my cat Tawny. She is spoiled rotten and well loved. We have kept her claws and for the most part it’s ok. Although sometimes she tends to grab things she shouldn’t. When I was offered the opportunity to review the carpet scratcher stopper I was excited to see if it would stop her from one of her favorite places in the house. She sometimes will scratch under door ways, especially when she needs to get out in the morning. So I placed this in between the doorway of my son’s room where she loves to sleep and our bonus room. Here’s how it looks in the doorway.
You can see it’s a plastic mat kind of like what goes under a business chair that you would sit at your desk. It worked really well and has stopped her from scratching there right now. I guess it’s not quite as fun to scratch something you can’t really get your claws into. I love my furbabies and will do anything to keep them with me. But I have to protect the house too. first of all, i commend you for not declawing. its a miserable practice that can cause a lifetime of crippling pain and behavior problems. second, i’m not entering the giveaway because i already have a carpet scratch stopper. its a fabulous product and it truly saves the carpet between my bedroom and the hallway!
