Snowman Rice Crispy Treats

With Christmas around the corner I’m searching for fun treats for my kids. What says winter fun better than Frosty the Snowman! We love snowmen at our house and are praying that we will get some good snows. Some winters we don’t get any and some we do. Here’s the recipe for these cute Snowman Rice Crispy Treats.

What you will need for this Snowman Rice Crispy Treats recipe:

rice crispy treats (either regular or peanut butter)

white candy melts (I did try these with white chocolate chips first but they didn’t turn out quite as well)

pretzel sticks

candy sprinkles in different colors for the eyes, mouth and nose

mini chocolate chips for the buttons

And the recipe:

1.) First I used peanut butter rice crispy treats and rolled them tightly into 3 different size balls.

2.) Melt the white candy melts according to package directions.

3.) Carefully dip the different size rice crispy treat balls into the melted candy melts.

4.) Place the balls on top of each other starting with the largest on the bottom and the smallest on the top. Be sure to do this step before the candy melts harden around the treats.

5.) Break the pretzel stick in half and place on half on each side of the snow man for the arms.

6.) I used blue sprinkles for the eyes and since I didn’t have any orange on hand I just used red for the nose and red for the mouth. (I had tiny candy cane shaped sprinkles and I just cut them to look like a smily face and use the straight part for the nose)

7.) Put three mini chocolate chips down the front of the middle ball for buttons.

8.) ENJOY. These were a huge hit in my house for the kids as well as for the adults! 🙂

Have them with some cocoa around the fire on a snow day. That is perfection! Let me know if you made the snowman rice crispy treat and what you thought of them!
