So far we’ve had: bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches
chicken sandwiches (from chicken I had cooked the day before the oven broke)
grilled hamburgers
tacos
tonight we had baked potatoes (microwave) with a little chili I had frozen from another day. They were yummy!
And tomorrow we are having a pork roast cooked in the crockpot.
We did make one big breakfast with biscuits cooked in the oven on broil with a pan over the top of them so they didn’t burn and I made blueberry pancakes one day (I so wanted to make a quiche for breakfast but too scared to burn it in the broiler, so I passed on this one).

I am so hoping my part comes in on Tuesday but in the event it doesn’t I really need to plan dinner now. A good pasta dish would be good. Sometimes we have veggie night with like green beans/broccoli/tomatoes and macaroni and cheese. Funny thing is a lot of times when I make pasta they don’t tend to notice I didn’t put meat in it. lol Yeah, I’m sneaky like that. 🙂 I’ll update you if my part comes in! Otherwise I’ll keep cooking creatively. Has this happened to you? How did you get by?

Thank goodness for toaster ovens, BBQs, indoor grills and microwaves! Can you imagine life without any of those? Actually…. I probably eat a lot healthier – salads, juices from my juicer, fresh fruit, almond butter and jam sandwiches (I have a 3 year old, so we eat those a lot!).

Anyway, I sure hope the part arrives soon too. It's hard enough figuring out what to eat for dinner every night! 🙂

Me too! Can you imagine having to cook over a fireplace in this heat. No wonder back in the old times the kitchen was a separate house all together. Whew.On the postive side I'm not really heating up my kitchen. 🙂
