Gifts For Children
The children’s toy market has always been competitive. 2013 will not be an exception. Toy manufacturers are pulling out all the stops to create toys that attract and sustain the interest of young people everywhere. Here are some of the best children’s gift ideas for 2013:
Playskool Sesame Street LOL Elmo
Elmo has been a favorite of children since his introduction 25 years ago. Elmo continues the successful line of Elmo dolls that has been at the center of the Sesame Street line. Elmo shakes and rolls with laughter. He also can delight your child by telling jokes. Dolls have always been the number one toy for kids and will probably be popular with kids forever. Doll accessories can be found in most toy stores.
LeapFrog LeapPad 2 Explorer Learning Tablet
Toys have continued to evolve at a rapid pace. Technology continues to play a major role in both educational and recreational children’s toys. The quality of children’s toys is better than it has ever been. An example of this is the LeapPad 2 Tablet. It features a 4GB memory, downloadable apps (music, videos and eBooks) and one camera on the front and back. This device is designed to help children to increase their math, science and reading skills. Over 330 apps are included in the library. Parents are able to follow the progress of their children by connecting to the Leapfrog Learning Path online.
Angry Birds Knock on Wood game
The Angry Birds app was released by Apple in 2009. It became a global phenomenon. Mattell has now turned the app into a game designed for children ages five and up. The game has many similarities to the app. A slingshot is used by players in attempt to hit pigs with birds that they launch at them. Destroying all of the pigs is the object of the game. The game can be used by up to four players.
Crayola Light Designer
This is basically an updated version of the classic Lite-Brite toy that was introduced in the 1960s. Using a specially designed stylus, kids are able to design colored objects on a three-dimensional surface. The child can save the drawing when they are finished or erase it and start a new one. A good way to describe this toy would be a cross between Etch-A-Sketch and Lite-Brite.
Children today have more toy options than ever before. No matter what interest your child has, there are sure to be many toys available to entertain them. The list above only scratches the surface. Good luck with your shopping.
