Spending time with friends and family can lead to fun and memorable moments, but also some very messy ones. Tell us about the messiest moments that you’ll always remember!
When my son was younger I had a small daycare in my home. This was my first child and I thought I knew it all. There is so much to learn with young children. Especially with young children who are potty learning. My son and his daycare friend were playing in his playroom. They were quiet and having a great time. I thought nothing of it. Later that afternoon I went into the playroom to begin to clean it up.
As I looked around I realized that something was off. He had a play kitchen and lots of dishes, food and even a shopping cart and a cash register. It appeared that the children were playing grocery. How cute, I thought. As I looked closer at this kitchen, there were dishes in the sink. The way my sink looks all the time. Sweet. He wants to be just like his mommy!
Upon closer inspection there was a tiny cup in the sink. This cup was full of a liquid…a yellow liquid. Why, yes, yes he did. My sweet baby did not take the time to go to the bathroom. So, he just whipped it out and peed in a cup. Then, oh, so carefully placed it into the sink of his play kitchen. How sweet of him to make sure he didn’t make a mess…not! Needless to say the clorox bleach came out and the kitchen got a good scrubbing along with all the dishes. Shortly after that we pulled the kitchen out of his playroom and put it in the kitchen where I could see it at all times! lol He’s currently older and much wiser and this, I am proud to say, is something that he has not done since.
