Disney Studios brought me into LA all expenses paid for this press trip. Regardless all opinions are honest and my own.
One thing that has always been on my bucket list is to go to a Red Carpet premiere. I got to do that this past week! It was amazing. No, no it was surreal. NO, it was spastastic! I’m stll pinching myself. Check out what happens on the red carpet!

First of all, you get to see lots of celebrities…and security. I ran into Mario Lopez.
He said, “Hey there!”.
“Uh…Hi Slater.”
Okay, I managed to keep it together and not say that! His daughter is adorable! She was all dressed up and precious.
Then we were behind Weird Al. He looks exactly like he does on youtube. No lie. Keep walking people (that’s what security’s job was…to tell us to move along.) Then, of course, we saw the wonderful cast and crew from the Good Dinosaur. People were hollaring for Arlo (Raymond Ochoa) to come sign their autographs. It was cute to see him do it with a smile. As we walked into the theater in front of us was Reese Witherspoon and her family. I love to see celebrities. But you’ll never see me bothering them. I didn’t ask for a selfie or an autograph. They’re just people. People who deserve to go see a movie in peace. But it was still cool to see them there with their family.
Once inside the El Capitan theater we watched the movie. It began with Sanjay’s Superteam short. Sanjay Patel is up for an Oscar for this. Such a sweet family short. I sure hope he wins it. He deserves it. There will be a post on this coming soon! Then we screened the Good Dinosaur. Ah…maz…ing. It’s different from seeing a regular movie. Because as the credits roll everyone claps for all the people who worked on the film. Not just the actors but the writers, set creators, animators, everyone gets applause. That was kind of cool to witness.

The red carpet was actually green for this particular movie. I’m thinking because the movie was about a green dinosaur maybe. What do you think? Yeah, I’m going with because of the green dino!

After the movie was over we went over to OHM for the after party. I’ve never seen so many celebrities. We saw Anna Paquin (True Blood), Yara Shahidi from Blackish, Albert Tsai (Dr. Ken and Trophy Wife), Garrett Clayton from Teen Beach, and so many more. It was fun, dancing and eating at the club. I’ve not been to a club in a while. In one room there was crafts and desserts. In another room there was food and drinks. The music was fun and rocking. It was an absolute blast. I think most of the actors were people my kids knew. I was a touch oblivious except for other people telling me who they were. I think that means I’m officially old. Haha!
