I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for SwimWays. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
When I was younger my aunt had a pool. She opened that pool all summer long and taught children to swim. She taught me to swim too. Then when I became a teenager she had me teach others to swim. Being a swim ambassador for SwimWays is so important to me. I’ve always had a fear that my children would drown. Maybe that’s an irrational fear. I’m not sure. But I got through it by teaching all my children to swim. Swimming has come so far. In the past we didn’t teach babies to swim. Now they teach them to swim and float so that they can be saved. It’s so important to teach the little babies to swim. SwimWays has been helping children swim and be safe learning to swim for forty years. We’re going to be working on teaching my friends baby to swim this summer. Check out my pics with her. It happened to be a beautiful day when we went to the pool. We all put our feet in but it was still way too cold!
She did just about everything to this float that day. She walked on it. Sat in it. Carried it around and even flipped it over this way and that.
She even drug it around the pool. And it’s still pool ready. Truth be told she was ready to swim. But knowing how cold it was we both agreed it’s not yet time. National Learn to Swim day is coming up on May 16th. This is the fourth year that it’s been around. Swimways wants us to raise confident swimmers and they do that with swimming accessories that are for different stages and that in turns give the kids more confidence. My son had swim lessons when he was only one. He didn’t really learn how to float so I’m trying to teach him to float this summer. He is three and loves the water, but I would love for him to learn how to swim and float!

My oldest somehow learned to swim on his own. My younger two stay in the kiddie side of the pool because they’re not comfortable yet on the adult side. They have to get over their fear first before we can give them lessons.

I have taught my kids, the youngest is still working on it but the older ones do pretty good.

We taught our kids to swim but it was because my sister in law had a pool and we were there all the time. I want to get my grand kids swimming lessons, its so important.

4 out of 5 kids can swim. My youngest daughter is not there yet. Hopefully she’ll learn this summer.

My children all learned how to swim because it was a requirement at their school. And I was thrilled about that, because I cannot swim so I couldn’t teach them!

I have taught them both how to swim. We like to go to the beach in the summer and I really believe it is important that they both know how to swim.

I’m the grandma. 1st would not get near water, 2nd at age 1 and a half would jump into the pool naked and seemed to be born knowing how to swim, 3rd loves to swim but had water wings and is now in lessons and there are twin babies who need things to float with
