Great tips. I know it is so hard to wait until we get home to eat the candy but it is a smart option!

These are very useful tips. I remember my parents always going through my candy before I was allowed to eat it.

These are all great tips. We always took our son to our friends houses to trick or treat. After we would go to the local mall and they handed out candy to the kids.

Jake has been “too old” for trick or treating for several years now. I used to love “checking” his candy. Of course that meant making sure everything was safe and snagging a few of my favorites.

Great reminders! My girls always know that mom has to inspect all candy before a single piece goes in their mouths. Sad that we have to worry about that, but there really are some crazies out there trying to hurt our babies.

All good tips. They have actually banned trick-or-treating in my area of Baltimore. it is really sad that kids don’t get to experience the same type of Halloween we did.

It’s so sad that checking candy is so much more time consuming than it used to be. The world can certainly be quite evil.

Great tips for keeping kids safe on Halloween. We used to only take our kids to a few homes of people we knew and then a church carnival. It’s just too unsafe to let them go to random people’s homes.

I am always surprised when someone makes something homemade. Seems like such a waste to go to that effort when so many will just toss it just in case. You’ve got great tips here.

Great tips! I’m the same way with homemade. Super cute, but I’m not letting my kids eat it unless we really know the person it’s coming from.
