Have you ever made DIY air freshener?
I am currently dog sitting my mom’s dog. That means I have 3 dogs in my house. That along with the usual dinner trash (meat containers) and laundry add to the smells that are in my house. Today I went searching for a cheap and easy air freshener. I thought about it and you know how we all use baking soda to sprinkle on carpets to take out any odor. So I thought why not add some essential oils to it and make it an air freshener. So I did. Here’s how I did it.
DIY Air Freshener Recipe
I took an old jelly ball jar with ring. I filled the jar about 1/4 of the way up with baking soda. Then I added 1 tsp of essential oils. I used orange oil. Added a piece of foil to the top and the ring. Then shook it up. Took a knife and poked holes in the aluminum foil. Now whenever I need to freshen up the kitchen I just go in and give it a shake. Orange smells so much better then any other!
What do you use as air freshener? Why not make a DIY air freshener?
I love things that allow me to make something I would normally use without any chemicals added. Freshening my house without chemicals makes me happy!
