I tell you what the best thing I ever did was decide to document my weight loss on my blog. I’m not proud of the number I started at but I’m excited each week to see that number dropping. Here’s last week Fitness Friday post which shows that I weighed in at 174.6. This weeks picture is below.
So, that’s another pound gone! Total loss of 5.7 lbs in 5 weeks. Woot. I want to lose a minimum of 35 lbs and get back into the 130’s. The weight loss this week is coming at “that time of the month”. So I’m hoping that next week I’ll show a bigger number. It’s so frustrating to know your body hangs on to that water weight each and every month for a week or so. It’s back to school time here and I’m so busy with the rental property too. I’m amazed each week to see the number falling. But it is.
My kids go back to school next week. I can’t believe I have a 16 year old, 10 and 7 year old. So, junior in high school, 5th grade and 2nd graders. I’m excited for them and happy to have a routine to return too. Right before I had surgery last year my friend Tracy and I were doing so great at getting to the gym and working out hard! So with them going back to school I will begin going back to the gym which I’ve not been able to get to lately. I can’t wait to see my friends and spend an hour with them three days a week working out and getting healthier. I need that time with them! As moms we often put ourselves last. What we really need to do is put ourselves first. If we don’t put us on the list then who will? When we take care of ourselves we do a better job taking care of them!
I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for 5 weeks. Here’s my first post that talks about the online gym and weight loss I’m going to, doing and loving! What have you done today that you are proud of? Even your smallest accomplishments are things to be savored and shouted from the rooftops. Let’s hear them!
