Crockpot Asian Beef with Rice

Ignore the banana pepper and make sure you use bell pepper. I only had frozen bell peppers. 😛

This is a new recipe I’m trying out today. I’m browning beef stew meat quickly searing it on high heat to seal in the juices with 3 cloves of garlic grated into the beef.

Then I will transfer the meat to the crock pot (with large chunks of onion and bell pepper), a tsp of sugar, add 1/8 c soy sauce (reduced salt), 1/8 c oyster sauce and 3 cut up carrots. We ended up adding teriyaki sauce to it. I think next time I will just do teriyaki sauce instead of oyster/soy.

Add beef stock to thin it down a bit and let cook all day. When we are ready to eat I will make brown rice and then add the meat mixture to the top. Can’t wait for dinner tonight! This recipe was so yummy! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

FYI it helps you to be able to eat it if you plug the crockpot in. lol Yep I did not plug it in this morning. It's plugged in now and on high. 🙂
